The oval itself is a great size for hosting big name concerts, fitting well over 50k people in its grounds. But the experience of the venue itself is another story...
The food and drinks, particularly alcoho,l is ridiculously overpriced for what you're getting, not to mention the beer on tap tastes very watered down and unpleasant.
The main attraction of the venue is hosting the AFL, which in itself is another financial issue. Tickets are way over priced. For one adult ticket to an AFL game, you're literally paying a close equivalent to what you'd pay to see an international band, and the AFL expects you to pay that almost weekly for 6 months of the year. And the prices just seem to be getting more and more expensive.

Was my second time here this time seats much better even though not under cover as you could see all of the ground without any trouble. We were there for Gather Round and was great having supporters from other teams just enjoying the game.

First time to Adelaide oval and had a pretty good overall experience. The lanes to get around the ground and sections is a little narrow so it can get pretty crowded and slow moving when a big event is happening. Food choices were okay and some views were better than others. I saw multiple AFL games there. I imagine cricket would be a fun experience too on this ground to watch.

Visited the Adelaide Oval for the standard stadium tour and really enjoyed the experience. The guide was very knowledgeable, and as a cricket fan I learned a lot about the ground’s history and its connection to the game. Got to see how the traditional scoreboard operates, which was a highlight. Also had plenty of chances to take photos from different parts of the stadium, each with a unique view of the ground.
The tour ran for about an hour and felt well paced. Bought tickets on Booking.com for $29, which I thought was good value for what was included.

Absolutely loved the tour at Adelaide Oval! The behind-the-scenes access was incredible, and learning about the rich history of the venue made it even more special. The guide was friendly and informative, and the views from different areas of the stadium were amazing. Definitely a must-do experience in Adelaide!
